Hey there my amazing readers! 🙂 I hope you’re all having an amazing start of the week.. Anyone watched the Oscars? Sadly I didn’t get the chance to watch it last night but can’t wait to do it tonight!
As some of you have been asking me for, I will dedicate this post 100% to talk about my experience at uni and how it is in the UK! 🙂
Olá meus queridos leitores! 🙂 Mil desculpas, já fazia algum tempo que não escrevia em Português! Espero que estejam a ter um óptimo inicio de semana.. Alguém viu os Oscares ontem? Infelizmente não tive a oportunidade de ver, mas mal posso esperar para ver hoje!
Como alguns me têm escrito a pedir, este post vai ser inteiramente dedicado a partilhar um pouco mais da minha experiência na faculdade em Inglaterra! 🙂
So one thing that I felt so different straight way – schedule! It becomes ridiculous to me sometimes as I was used to have classes from Monday until Friday and often morn and afternoon here that is something veeery different! Here is a view of my schedule…
A primeira coisa que para mim foi uma grande diferença foi o horário! Chega a ser rÃdiculo a pouca quantidade de aulas que por vezes temos! Habituada em Portugal a ter de Segunda a Sexta aqui é um pouco diferente, este é o meu horário…
Yap, as you see terrible busy! I think it has its good and bad point. It is great that you get so much free time to do whatever you want which includes time for you to work and earn some money! Although a lot of the work is expected from you to be done at home on your own and sometimes I miss the social side of going to school.
Como vêm assustadoramente preenchido! Na minha opinião tem os seus pontos bons e maus. É óptimo ter tanto tempo livre para se fazer o que quiser o que inlcui tempo para trabalhar e ganhar algum dinheiro! Contudo muito do trabalho da universidade tem de ser feito em casa sozinhos e isso faz-me sentir um pouco falta do lado social de ir à escola.
One thing I really like is how practical my course is! You get to work in real TV studios, go interview actual people and for actual stories, do radio, etc and I find it really great! I never thought I would like so much presenting for instance but ever since I have tried and I just love it! And recently got asked to be the host of a TV show which made me super happy and excited!
Uma coisa que gosto bastante no curso é quão prático ele é! Desde trabalhar em estúdios de TV, entrevistar pessoas com histórias reais, rádio, etc, oportunidades não faltam e isso eu gosto bastante! Por exemplo, nunca pensei que viesse a gostar tanto de apresentar mas desde que experimentei que adoro! Recentemente fui convidada para apresentar um programa de televisão o que me deixou muito entusiasmada!
The facilities are really good as well. Super modern and there is nothing we may need that we don’t have! Don’t ask me where the money comes from but the school is literary full packed with apples everywhere, even the canteen has some that they probably didn’t know where else to put..! Â
As facilidades são espectaculares. Muito modernas and não há nada que possamos precisar que a escola não tenha! Não me perguntem de onde vem o dinheiro, mas toda a universidade está literalmente preenchida com “maçanzinhas”, até o refeitório tem algumas que provavelmente não sabiam onde mais colocar..!
In general main thing here, they believe you won’t get good at something unless you actually get to practice, which I think is quite wise and good. This means practical stuff and work placements are a must in the university here (although we must find our own work placement which isn’t easy at all!).
No geral, eles aqui acreditam que a não ser que pratiques não serás verdadeiramente bom, o que na minha opinião é inteligente. Isto significa que temos muitas aulas práticas e muito estágios para fazer (que atenção têm de ser arranjados por nós! Nada fácil esta parte!) e estágios aqui são fundamentais!
