sunny happy days

So happy!!! It seems like finally the veeeery shy sunny decided to come out! Birmingham looks as pretty as never before! I am indeed a sunny girl, just love to feel that warm amazing heat in my skin and be able to look outside the window and see real light and not a dark grey sky. I don’t know how long this beautiful weather  is staying in England but I am loving it! And I hope it stays long because – NEWS!!! – I am about to go VISIT A NEW COUNTRY! – IRELAND! 😀 soooo excited!!! My best friend from Germany is coming here on the 14th and then on the 16th we are taking the boat to Irish soil! So excited that for the first time after almost 20 years (Oh God this sounds too much! 😦 sorry but I am a bit Peter Pan, the idea of a kid forever is music to my ears! 🙂 but anyways… after such a long time I will finally get to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day (in Portugal we don’t really have it as tradition) and what better way to do so then in Dublin that hosts the 2nd biggest parade in the world! I am so excited! And right after it on the 19th it’s my birthday! YEAH! So I will also spend it on Ireland with my best friend 🙂 and straight after it I am heading to London and then Portugal! So it will be a full exciting traveling week that I just can’t wait for! And promise, I will share it all here with you my wonderful friend bloggers that have been walking this journey with me and for that and all the rest, thank you so much! 🙂

So yes, I am just happy and just wanted to share it with you! 🙂 Don’t just live life, love it and never take it for granted cause no one knows what tomorrow has for you so just in case, don’t let anything for later .. some emotional girl whose name starts by C sometimes knocks these in my head ^^

Happy week to you all my friends! 🙂

Studying in England…

Hey there my amazing readers! 🙂 I hope you’re all having an amazing start of the week.. Anyone watched the Oscars? Sadly I didn’t get the chance to watch it last night but can’t wait to do it tonight!

As some of you have been asking me for, I will dedicate this post 100% to talk about my experience at uni and how it is in the UK! 🙂

So one thing that I felt so different straight way – schedule! It becomes ridiculous to me sometimes as I was used to have classes from Monday until Friday and often morn and afternoon here that is something veeery different! Here is a view of my schedule…

Yap, as you see terrible busy! I think it has its good and bad point. It is great that you get so much free time to do whatever you want which includes time for you to work and earn some money! Although a lot of the work is expected from you to be done at home on your own and sometimes I miss the social side of going to school.

One thing I really like is how practical my course is! You get to work in real TV studios, go interview actual people and for actual stories, do radio, etc and I find it really great! I never thought I would like so much presenting for instance but ever since I have tried and I just love it! And recently got asked to be the host of a TV show which made me super happy and excited!

The facilities are really good as well. Super modern and there is nothing we may need that we don’t have! Don’t ask me where the money comes from but the school is literary full packed with apples everywhere, even the canteen has some that they probably didn’t know where else to put..!

1396034_10200138470064069_2134236756_nIn general main thing here, they believe you won’t get good at something unless you actually get to practice, which I think is quite wise and good. This means practical stuff and work placements are a must in the university here (although we must find our own work placement which isn’t easy at all!).

Hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know a bit more about my University and if is there anything else you would like to know or are curious about please write me as I always love to hear from you! 🙂 Have a great week! xxx

Love,

Carolina

London is always a good idea!

Despite of all the rain these last days London has been suffering it is still the beautiful and magic capital it always is! Besides London without its rain is not really London! Always pretty these city always has its tendency to make me smile. Oh dear London thank you for being such a good therapy, I love you! 🙂

IMG_3788 IMG_3812 IMG_3862 IMG_3864 IMG_3869 IMG_3870My always must go – Victoria’s Secret! 🙂IMG_3871 IMG_3875Portuguese model Sara Sampaio, feel proud! 😀IMG_3886IMG_3877Victoria’s Secret last VS Fashion Show outfits:IMG_3881 IMG_3883 IMG_3884So exciting we even got to watch the Premiere of Dallas Buyers Club movie! Waiting in the rainy cold weather and trying to guess from which car the actors were going to leave was quite an hard task considering that for some reason in this street pretty much only very expensive cars pass by! Or in fact you just have to be in London, Oxford area and I dare to say you will see the newest cars of all expensive brands! Oh London…you do take a good life! IMG_3892 IMG_3911IMG_3899IMG_3922

London, see you soon!

It feels like only yesterday I was just coming back home and surprising everyone…! Now I have just booked my flight and in a couple days I will be taking off to London where I will be staying for the weekend at a friends house. After it back to Birmingham and university life again!

Life is for sure a journey and to me it may change someday but as for now travelling is my passion and that is what makes me happy. Don’t take it wrong, I love home, I love Portugal, I love my ocean and its unique energy. I love my people, my family and friends. My weather is perfect and as for the food, oh I love my food! But as I chose to state on my Blog header, life is a book and not travelling is like only reading one page from it! As for me, I may not be a big reader but when it comes to my life book I want to read it all and by that I mean I want to travel, explore, try, have fun and discover as many as I can! Life is to damn short to spend it all at the same place! 🙂

As for my next trip – England – which is becoming now my.. hm 3rd home after Portugal and the US, here are some Throw Back Thursday pictures of me and my friends in the beautiful and art full city of London back in 2011, good times! 🙂   188341_1473203809651_6051277_n
